Tuesday, February 23, 2010 - 1547 hrs: Claymont along with Brandywine Hundred (Rescue and Engine) and Talleyville (Engine) were dispatched for the residential fire. E132 arrived with smoke showing and secured their own water supply. Fire Captain Nick Hurst established the 'Claymont Command' as the crew went in service pulling the 200 off the rear to the fire building. The engine's crew found a fire in the basement and extinguished the same. As other units arrived, they were assigned with primary/secondary searches as well as assisting opening up the kitchen where vertical extension was found. Deputy Chief Hassel arrived and assumed command for duration. The incident was placed under control with units clearing shortly after.
