TREASURER CHRIS FRIDAY

Email: treasurer@claymont13.com

Hometown: Mt. Carmel, PA

Chris, a 50 year resident of Claymont, originally joined CFC in 1984 with interest in becoming an EMT but also completed her training as a firefighter. She was active in the company as both Secretary and Fire Prevention Officer, visiting elementary schools with her Dalmatian and Bert & Ernie Fire Safety and Prevention puppet show.

Chris completed training and served as an EMT Instructor for the Delaware State Fire School beginning in 1987. With a goal of becoming a paramedic, she then enrolled in the New Castle County Paramedic program, but just short of graduation, health concerns forced her to give up that dream.

Chris retired from Christiana Care where she was an executive assistant and also part of the public safety team as a member of the fire brigade and HazMat team.

In 2018, following successful cancer treatment, Chris rejoined CFC and quickly became active on the Administration side of the company, serving as both Secretary and Fund Drive Chairperson as well as assisting other committees.

Currently Chris is beginning her third term as Treasurer of the company.
